FIRST Robotics 2006

Aim High

The 2006 game is, as usual, difficult to describe but I will try. Basically there are two hoops high in the air on either side of the field along with two goals on the ground. Robots, 3 per alliance, must score nerf basketballs through them by shooting them in. A ball in the high goal is worth 3 points while a ball in the lower goal is worth 1 point. There are also two ramps in each alliances "home zone" in which the alliance will get bonus points for each robot on their ramp at the end of the match. The autonomous period is the first 10 seconds of the match and there is a 10 point bonus for the winner of it. The match is also split into 3 40 second periods, the winner of autonomous goes on defense first then on offense and during the last period everyone can score. Here is a reference of the field...
